Dr. Lisa Black is a Michigan native and grew up in Metro Detroit. Even from her early elementary years, she wanted to be a dentist when she grew up. She has always wanted to use her skills and energy to serve others.
After earning a BS in Chemistry at Michigan State University, Dr. Lisa Black earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Detroit Mercy and then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Louisville. In addition to her private practice, she also serves as a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor at Loyola University Medical Center in the Department of Oral Health. The dental residents of 2021 recognized Dr. Black with the award of Part-Time Faculty of the year. She has completed advanced courses in adult cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry at Spear Education in Scottsdale Arizona and is dedicated to learning modern solutions and continuing to hone her dental skills. She is involved in local Spear dental study clubs to collaborate and learn alongside her colleagues.
Dr. Black’s comfort zone is private practice. She is determined to give her patients exceptional dentistry and personalized care. She has served in Park Ridge and Schaumburg and is excited to bring her practice to the Arlington Heights community. She and her husband live in Palatine with their daughter and golden retriever.
